In September of 2008 God called our Pastor Nicholas Sawyer to preach the gospel to this small community on the Alaskan Highway. After less than a year of deputation spent primarily in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Washington the Sawyers arrived in Tok.

   The community of Tok has a population of around 1200 souls. Upon the Sawyers arrival to Tok God had already provided a home for them to both live and hold services. After three months of meeting in this home the church moved into the once southern baptist mission building. For two years this location provided opportunity to preach to dozens of international travelers passing through Tok.
